Here at Ezemail we are constantly striving to be at the leading edge so that our users benefit from some of the highest deliverability rates in the industry. So, we're happy to announce that we are one of the early implementers of Hotmail's 'list-unsubscribe' tool. This allows a recipient with a Hotmail account to unsubscribe using 'Hotmail's unsubscribe link' rather than our standard unsubscribe link. This unsubscribe link is automatically inserted into the header of the email and is visible to all subscribers who have marked you as a safe sender. This has been initiated by Hotmail in recognition of the problem that many Hotmail users wrongly use the 'this is spam' button to unsubscribe rather than the unsubscribe link. Therefore the logic of this new way of unsubscribing is that users trust Hotmail and are therefore more likely to unsubscribe using Hotmail's unsubscribe link (which is integrated into the Ezemail system), which in turn reduces the wrongful complaints and thus increases your reputation and deliverability.
When a hotmail user clicks the unsubscribe link they are taken to an Ezemail unsubscribe page where they can unsubscribe from the list, which will automatically flag them on your account as being opted-out.
